The Memory Lane Jazz Ensemble

The Memory Lane Jazz Ensemble is part of the East Cobb New Horizons Band program. The ensemble is in its fifth year and is led by its founder, Carl Merwin. We have 19 seasoned musicians who perform a variety of traditional big band, swing, dance, jazz and popular compositions including vocals. We currently play over 150 arrangements. The ensemble performs several times a month for community and private events including fund raisers, concerts, dinners and dances.

Our uncompensated musicians volunteer their time and talents for the enjoyment and challenge of playing great music for you. Performance honorariums, which are very reasonable and appreciated, help defray the expenses of the East Cobb New Horizons Band, a 501(c)3 charitable organization. The ensemble rehearses each Monday at 9:00 am at The Maple Avenue United Methodist Church, 63 Maple Ave., Marietta, Ga.
